I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. – Psalm 139:14

A couple of weeks ago, I caught myself watching a television show about how things are made. In this specific episode, the item being made caught my attention. It’s something that I have used on many occasions, and I often wondered how they were made. But little did I know, that the way they were made was so fascinating.

The item didn’t start out as the interesting creation that it is. Instead, it started out as a bunch of pellets. Those pellets were heated, crushed, formed together, flattened, and then molded into the shape that they needed to be. If they were to be a specific color or have a specific texture, the process was modified to create the outcome that was needed.

As I sat and reflected on the creation of this wonderful item, I could not help but think about how interesting it was. It took someone with a vision of what they wanted in the end to create such a masterpiece. Not everyone could have created this item. Then I was reminded that the same is true for you and me.

God created each of us fearfully and wonderfully. He designed us in His image and created us for His purpose. The work of God in creating each of us and the world around us should leave us in awe at how marvelous and wonderful He is! More than that, it should leave us praising Him!

God didn’t make a mistake when He made you. He designed your life with a purpose and plan. He knew what He was doing! Each step and each piece was designed for a purpose. Instead of thinking God made a mistake, realize that you are wonderfully made!
