And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits. — Daniel 11:32
Sometimes in my life, I may be unsure of some things. My wife and I often joke when she tells me I don’t recall something quite right. Perhaps it is something she told me, or maybe somewhere we went or something we have done. I remember certain details about it, but maybe I don’t have all the details quite right. Thankfully, she is there to help me!
But there are other times when I know that I am right. It is in those moments that I have confidence. I will talk much more certain about the situation. Not because I want to be right necessarily, but because I know the information. I have confidence in what I am saying and what I am doing in those moments.
Life is not always filled with those moments in our day-to-day actions. But it should be with regard to our faith in God! I’m reminded of this verse in Daniel that those who know their God shall be strong. Throughout the Bible, we are reminded of Christians who did amazing things through their faith in God.
That didn’t come by saying they believed the Bible. They knew God intimately. They knew Him through their daily talks with Him, reading scripture, and praising Him. We will never reach that type of strength if we do not get to know God at a deeper level.
How well do you know God? It’s more than just knowing that He exists. Do we spend time with Him and read His word? Do we talk to Him? Are we trusting Him with every single detail of our lives? If we do, there is strength to be found for all that we face in life.
Across the world, there are Christians who need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior.
