Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! — Psalm 107:8

There have been so many times in my life when someone was good to me. I recall occasions when someone went out of their way to help show me how to do something. For example, I remember someone showing me how to use a chainsaw for the first time. I needed to learn to use one, but I had no idea how they worked or how to operate it safely.

In a conversation, I shared with a friend how I really needed to learn to operate the saw so I could clean up things around my home. It was not something I needed to use daily, but it would help me tremendously. One weekend shortly after, he took time out of his day to show me how to operate a chainsaw.

While the scenario is a simple one, the response should always be the same. I quickly told him how much I appreciated his kindness. Most everyone tries to make it a point to thank someone when they are kind to them. But many times, we fall short of showing enough appreciation.

That is certainly the case with God. Each day, He sends goodness and kindness our way. He provides for us, protects us, and cares for us in ways we could never imagine. Yet, so many times, we overlook praising Him for His goodness and kindness on our lives.

Today, amid all the hustle and craziness of life, take a moment to thank and praise God for His goodness. Praise Him for His kindness, protection, love, mercy, and grace. God is so good to every one of us. He deserves our praise for His goodness!

Across the world, there are Christians who need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior.
