We all have experiences in life when we find ourselves meeting new people or in conversations with people who may not know us very well. We may engage in conversation and interaction with the hope that the other person pays attention. But if you are like me, there are times that does not happen.
Such was the case not long ago when I was speaking with someone. They were undoubtedly distracted, having no interest in what I was saying. They looked around, looking at their phone, just waiting for the interaction to end. They were not interested in me or anything I had to say.
But it’s refreshing when you are in an interaction with someone that is interested in you. Someone who wants to hear what you have to say. A person who cares about you, your thoughts, and how you are feeling. This is someone who is truly interested in you.
While there may be times when no one in this world is interested in us, God is always interested. His desire is that our character is after His own heart. This means He takes a unique interest in everything about us. He is interested in our hearts, minds, feelings, and experiences. There is nothing about you that God is not interested in!
There are times in life when it may feel like no one is interested. You may feel that no one is listening and no one cares, but God does! He is interested in you. Not just you in general, but everything about you! Talk to Him and share with Him. He is always listening because He loves you and is interested in everything about you.
