And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. — Revelation 21:4

If you are like me, I sometimes take a look around me and become disheartened. When was the last time that you saw something good happen and it sweep across the nation? The truth is, it rarely happens. Typically, we are fed bad news and tragedy every day in some fashion.

One day, you may turn on the news, and it’s a tragedy that has occurred somewhere. Or perhaps you speak with someone in the line at the supermarket who seems like they are having a bad day and you hear about how they are struggling. There are just some days that seem like no matter where you turn, all you hear is bad things.

While these moments can be disheartening, they really should be a reminder and encouragement for the Christian. We certainly live in a world that is filled with sin. The physical bodies we have now will fail us. But thankfully, that’s not the end of the story!

There is coming a day when all the things that we see in this world will pass away. Can you imagine a day when there will be no more tears, death, sorrow, or pain? As many of these as we see in our lives here on earth, it can be hard to imagine that sometimes. But that’s exactly what is going to happen!

I once heard it said that life on this earth for the Christian is the worst that it will ever be. There are certainly times that are better than others, but there is a day ahead when all the bad days, sorrow, and pain will be gone. What a day that will be!

Across the world, there are Christians that need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. As a non-profit ministry, Another Well Ministries relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
