Bible Verses for Grief & Loss
Grief is not something to rush through or resolve quickly. It is a sacred response to loss — a reflection of love, relationship, and deep meaning. In seasons of grief, words can feel insufficient, and explanations can feel hollow. Scripture does not attempt to minimize sorrow; instead, it meets us within it.

“The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart.” — Psalm 34:18
Psalm 9:9 – The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
