You are not in this alone

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. — Isaiah 41:10

Life has an interesting way of making you feel alone. That is not to say that you are really alone, but you feel that way. Perhaps it is in moments of sickness, moments of reflection, or even moments of trials.

One of the challenges of these moments is that our own mind can be our worst enemy. We can often convince ourselves of things that are simply not true. For example, it’s easy to think that no one cares, no one loves, or no one is listening.

Scripture shares with us an entirely different story, however. No matter the sickness, trial, or moment of life that we are facing, we are never alone. As this verse says, do not fear and do not be dismayed!

It is in those moments where we feel alone that we often need to be strengthened and helped by God. Those moments of loneliness can feel like an eternity. Yet, God has never once left our side and abandoned us alone, no matter the circumstance.

Whatever you are facing today, remember that you are not in this alone. There is nothing in this life that will cause God to stop loving or caring for you. No matter how dark the moment may seem, He is there and He always will be!
