Charity never faileth. — 1 Corinthians 13:8
Recently, I was researching some ways to make items more healthy to eat. For example, how could I make ice cream more healthy? Or baked goods perhaps? As I began my research, several things came up for me to read through. One thing that I learned is that nearly every one of these items has a “base” that is the key for it.
In many instances, this base was several items mixed together. It changed ingredients from the unhealthy items and put in healthy things. Maybe instead of typical flour and butter it used things like yogurt and almond flour. Others mixed in protein powders and peanut butter powders. It was interesting to see what these different bases consisted of and how the items turned out in the end.
Soon after, I read through these verses in 1 Corinthians about love. As I reflected on the verses, I couldn’t help but think about how our foundation is in Christ, but that our base, or what pulls it all together, is love. Love is part of the base that our lives revolve around.
Love was the foundation of our relationship with Christ. Love should be the foundation of our homes. Also, love should be the foundation of our friendships. It’s an important part of our lives in every aspect. There is nothing in our lives that should not include love.
Our lives should have a base of love. As the verse says, love never fails. It can see you through any faults, failures, or challenges in life. It’s a key component of our lives, one that we should include every day in every thing that we do!
