And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. — Jeremiah 29:13

I recently read a story on a website about how people were arguing over finding “the Holy Grail” as it is referred to. People across Europe have been arguing over who has a cup with mysterious powers. A cup that was possibly used by Jesus at the Last Supper. It’s a phenomenon that many have looked at, from religious circles to pop culture.

Many believe the idea that a cup used by Jesus could perhaps have amazing powers. They believe that the cup could possibly heal them and take care of their concerns once and for all. While they may try to seek this cup for a variety of reasons, there is one thing that we can certainly learn from this.

Across the world, people are looking for a solution to all the things that they face. Whether it be the “Holy Grail” or any other idea of healing, happiness, or wealth, countless hours are being spent in a search for it. It is a desire in the heart of people. They want something supernatural and spiritual that they can control.

The Bible is clear that God has the power to heal and bring happiness. We find those things when we stop focusing on the things that we want to control in life and start focusing on God. Instead of spending hours searching this world for something, our time is better served seeking God.

Are you spending your time seeking God with all your heart, or are you distracted looking for things you can control? The devil would love nothing more than for you to be distracted looking for things in this world. Instead, spend your time seeking God!
