The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted. — Psalm 104:16

It is hard for me not to laugh at my son with many things that he says. It’s not a surprise that kids say some of the most interesting things. But when you have a son who is from another country, with some challenges from being deaf and understanding things, it creates memorable moments regularly. That is exactly what happened at the dinner table not long after he started learning to talk.

We had sat down at the dinner table, and being a typical boy, he was eating more than most adults. He ate his food, part of my wife’s food, and part of my food. Then, he asked for more! After eating some more, I dreaded asking the question. I looked at him, asking if he was still hungry. His reply was, “No, I’m full.”

At that moment, it was absolutely hilarious to hear. The look on his face said he had eaten so much he was nearly miserable. But having come from an orphanage where he did not get much to eat, we never want him to worry about having enough to be full.

For the Christian, we never have to worry about having enough to be full, either. I’m not talking about our physical appetite but our spiritual appetite. I love this verse in Psalm 104 where it says the trees of the Lord are full. No matter how tall the trees were, how wide they were, how far away from the source they were located, they were full!

Is your life full today? Are you so saturated with God that no matter where you go or what you do, you are full? Or are you still hungry? There is an abundant supply to satisfy the appetite of any Christian. All we have to do is ask for it and seek Him!

Across the world, Christians need the encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians accept Jesus Christ as Savior.
