And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. — Ezekiel 37:3

Just a few days ago, I was watching something on television and was listening to the commentator speak on the current state of our world. They spoke of violence across the Middle East. It was shared about various violent crimes in the United States and other nations. The commentator shared about how our world is not the same as it used to be.

It seems we hear much more about the chaos of our world today. Some may say that it is the invention of the internet, and others say it is social media. But the things that are happening across our world really shouldn’t surprise us. The Bible did tell us that things would wax worse and worse as time continued.

But why is that? Why do things seem to be worse? Part of me cannot help but believe it’s because we are living in one of the driest times across our world spiritually. We live in a world that continues to see people drift further from God. Our world needs God now more than ever.

Many will try to say that it is too late, but I’m reminded of these verses in Ezekiel. These bones that Ezekiel saw were dry. They were dead and desolate. In themselves, the bones were unable to live. But we cannot forget what God can do! He can bring life into what was once dead.

Things may look dry right now. The world may seem bleak, without much hope. But our hope is not lost with God. Instead of giving up, we need to renew our hope in God. We are not going to bring about hope, revival, and a return to God in ourselves. But we have a God who can!

Across the world, there are Christians who need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. Another Well Ministries is a non-profit ministry that relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
