For I am the LORD, I change not. — Malachi 3:6

Not long ago, my family made the trip back to the area where we are from. While we have moved a few times over the years, we still call that small town and area home. Each time we go back, we talk about how things have changed since we used to live there several years ago. There are many new stores, new stoplights, and there seem to be quite a few more people.

But there are some things that never change. The people who we have known for many years, a lot of them are still there. Some of our favorite places and things from home are still there too. The churches that we went to, they are still there as well.

There’s always something refreshing about things that don’t change. Especially in our world today, where it seems that everything changes constantly. Buy something today and a new and improved version will be available tomorrow. There’s a constant race to improve things, making the more user friendly and easier to navigate.

Amid all those changes, it makes me thankful for a God that never changes. God is still God and He is still in control. He still loves and saves sinners. God has not changed His position on sin out of convenience or preference. To God, sin is still sin and that has never changed.

We don’t have to worry if what we do for God today will still be good enough tomorrow. God wants us to live our lives for Him. It doesn’t matter if we are here or there. It doesn’t matter whether we are up or down or somewhere in between. God is still the same God He has always been. There are countless changes in this world around us, but we don’t have to worry about that with God. He is one thing that never changes!

Across the world, there are Christians that need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. As a non-profit ministry, Another Well Ministries relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
