By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. — Hebrews 10:10

There are many things in life that we learn to take care of. For example, we are taught at a young age that if we brush our teeth each day, it will help to protect them and help them last throughout our life. We are taught to take care of other aspects through things like diet and exercise so that our bodies will be healthier and last longer.

It isn’t much different from other things in life, either. If you don’t change the oil in your car, the engine will not last very long. If you do not mow your lawn, it will never be as healthy and strong as it could be. Time and again, things are done over and over again in order to help things be healthy, last longer, and continue on for some time to come.

That was the case for those living under the law in the Bible. Time and again, sacrifices needed to be made to atone for their sins. It was a short-term fix for a major problem. The blood of the animals could not forgive sins forever.

But for you and I, we can rejoice because that is not the case for us! Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was an effective sacrifice. Never again will there be a need for another sacrifice for the sins of the world. It is finished once and for all!

One time was good enough for you, me, and anyone else to ever live in this life. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for all mankind, no one excluded! Today, rejoice in the redemption and sanctification found in Jesus. If you have never experienced forgiveness of sin and the freedom found through Jesus Christ, today would be a great day to get to know Him!

Across the world, there are Christians that need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. As a non-profit ministry, Another Well Ministries relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
