Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. – Psalm 27:14
When you are waiting for something important we all tend to watch the clock. When we’re waiting for the mail to be delivered or someone to arrive that we’re expecting or maybe it’s when we are waiting for the doctor to come into the room for our test results. We all have been there from time to time wondering and watching and waiting for the clock to move.
I’m not sure I’ve ever heard anyone say that they had all the patience they needed in such times as this. Sometimes we are just called upon to wait.
There are some today who are watching the clock about situations in their lives. Wanting time to pass, the answer to come or things to improve. It all comes in the Lord’s time.
David Jeremiah once said, “Don’t be discouraged. Never stop praying. Keep your eyes on the Timekeeper, not on the timepiece. The Lord will turn delay into deliverance.”
While you are called upon to wait, keep your eyes on the Lord. In His time (not ours) He will do His work. Keep leaning on Jesus.
