And the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the second time – Jonah 3:1
The story of Jonah is very familiar, as many learn it from a young age. While secular “experts” want to argue about whether or not a whale could swallow a man and the man survive, for the Christian the story is much more detailed.
God certainly did not have to give Jonah a second chance. He could have been finished with him once he walked away from what he was asked to do. But the grace of God gave Jonah a second chance.
God understands that we are far from perfect people. He understands the struggles with sin around us. While he does not always give second chances, are you not glad that he does?
