Bible Verses for Depression & Deep Sadness
Depression can feel heavy, isolating, and difficult to explain. It often reaches deeper than surface emotions, touching the heart, mind, and spirit in ways that are not easily resolved. Scripture does not dismiss this kind of sorrow or rush it away. Instead, it gives language to lament, acknowledges pain honestly, and reminds us that God remains present even when hope feels distant.
These Bible verses are offered as gentle companions for seasons of depression and deep sadness. They are not meant to force healing or offer quick answers, but to remind you that God sees you, hears you, and walks with you through the darkness.
