How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves? — Psalm 94:4
I try to stay off social media in any form as much as possible. It isn’t that I don’t want to stay in touch with others. But I often find myself becoming frustrated with some of the things that I see happening. It’s bad enough that I see them around me everyday.
Recently, I decided to scroll through a few pages and I found myself frustrated once again. People were saying things that were absolutely terrible. Numerous posts that were boasting in living lives that were anything other than Godly.
If you look around our world, it seems like there is nothing more than those boasting in their sin and wickedness. It can be frustrating to see them living their lives as if there are no consequences. Especially as we may struggle to live a life dedicated to Christ amid the wickedness of this world.
But these days will not last forever. Later in the Psalm, we are reminded there is a day of judgment on sin and wickedness. We must keep in mind that God is the judge and we are responsible for our lives, not the lives of others.
Don’t get discouraged with all that is going on in this life. Don’t become distracted by the things of this world and those who act as if there are no consequences for their actions. The frustrations may exist for some time, but God is in control and He will have the final say in it all.
