It has been over 20 years since Verizon Wireless launched one of their most popular advertising campaigns of all time. In the first ad, it featured someone walking around in various places all over the world. As he held a cell phone up to his ear, he repeated the now famous saying: “Can you hear me now?”
The suggestion was that anywhere you were, Verizon had the cell phone signal to help you. In the jungle, in a swamp, in a building, it didn’t matter. Wherever life might take you, you would find cell phone signal to make a call with Verizon.
While cell phone networks may have great coverage as they describe it, there are still areas where you may not find service. There are places where a call may not go through. It is impossible to find a 100% guarantee of things in this world, but that is not the case with God!
In this Psalm, David talks about all the many places life may take him. He talked about how no matter if he were in Heaven or Hell, God was God. He said if he was in the air as a bird or in the sea, that God was there. No matter where life may take you, God is there!
Maybe you feel like you are alone today, but you are not alone. It doesn’t matter what trial or circumstances you face, God is there. No matter where you live, your occupation, or any other circumstances of life, God is there! Don’t be discouraged because you feel alone. Take courage because you are never alone! God is there!
