But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. — Romans 5:8
There are a lot of people in my life that I care about and love. I certainly love my wife, my son, my parents, and my siblings. The love that I have for each of them is different, but I would do anything that I could for any of them. Chances are, there are people in your life that you would say that you love similarly.
But I can’t say that everyone in my life who I love, I have loved forever. Until one special day in May many years ago, I had never met my wife. It was impossible for me to have loved her before that day. I have loved my son since the day I first saw his photo in the adoption paperwork. But until that day, I didn’t know who he was.
There are very few people I can say that I have loved forever. Not because they are not important to me or because they don’t love me. It’s because my understanding of time and knowledge is limited. I can only remember so far back in life, and before my life began, I couldn’t have loved anyone.
While I may have limitations in my love, God doesn’t! In fact, there has never been one moment of our lives when God did not love us. He has always loved us. Before we were ever born, God knew us, and He loved us.
Not one single person has ever lived in this world who was not loved. God loved them all. So much that He sent Jesus to die so that we may have forgiveness and live forever. No one else can do that for you or love you that much!
There are times in this life we may feel unloved, but we aren’t. We have always been loved by the one who created the heavens and the earth. Before you ever existed, you were loved, and nothing will change that love. How refreshing it is to know that we are not only loved, we have always been loved!
Across the world, there are Christians who need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. Another Well Ministries is a non-profit ministry that relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
