Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! — Psalm 107:8
There have been so many times in my life when someone was good to me. I recall occasions when someone went out of their way to help show me how to do something. Maybe it was the first time I learned something new, and it was meaningful that the person took the time to show me.
Throughout our lives, people make an impact. We often remember the things that they have done for quite some time. We may even tell others about what they have done for us and the impact that they have had.
In our relationship with God, we at times fall short of giving Him the praise He deserves for all He has done. We often become distracted with the ups and downs of life. We get discouraged because things do not go our way or how we hoped they would.
Even so, God still sends goodness and kindness our way every day. He provides for us, protects us, and cares for us in ways we could never imagine. Yet so often we overlook praising Him for His goodness and kindness in our lives.
Today, as the year draws to a close, take a moment to thank and praise God for His goodness. Praise Him for His kindness, protection, love, mercy, and grace. No matter how challenging this year has been, God has been good to us. He deserves our praise for His goodness!
