Peace for your storm

And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. — Mark 4:39

Recently, I was driving down the road and a storm quickly built up around me. The lightning began to flash and the thunder began to roar. The rain started to pour down on my vehicle. Soon, it was all I could do to see the road.

That is certainly how life goes many times. We can be going about our normal day and things all look great. Suddenly, something happens and a storm pops up in our lives and disrupts everything.

I often think about the disciples in this boat. They were fishermen. Experienced with storms and raging seas. Yet, this storm caught them by surprise and brought fear into their lives. How would they survive such an intense storm?!

What storm is raging in your life today? Are you worried you might not survive? Perhaps the wind and rain are more than you ever imagined possible. Do not forget the Master is on board your ship!

As long as the Master is on board, He is the one in control. It doesn’t matter how fierce the storm, the storm must obey the Master. The storm may be intense. The wind may blow and the rain may fall, but the Master can still bring peace into the middle of your storm because He is in control!
