And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power. — Colossians 2:10

There are many times I have found myself assembling items that I purchased. Not long ago, I purchased a small cabinet that I was going to hang in my garage to store some of my tools. I ordered the item, never imagining that I would need to assemble the cabinet. But that’s exactly what I had to do!

Once I opened the box, I began to spread out the pieces. On one side, I had the cabinet doors. On the other side, I had the top and back. Then, there were the shelves and the screws needed to hang the cabinet on the wall. One by one, I started to assemble the pieces together. It wasn’t the easiest process, and I found myself rather frustrated as some of the pieces didn’t fit together like they should.

That is certainly how life can be at times. So many times, we find ourselves with the pieces of things spread out, needing to be put together. Other times, we are in the middle of trying to put things together, and we realize that things are not going as we had hoped.

It is in those moments that we need to take a step back and make sure that we are not forgetting the most important piece! We can do everything in our power to put things together, but without Him, we are missing something. Jesus must be the center of it all!

Do you feel like your life is a mess? Does it feel like scattered pieces are all around, or perhaps things are not going together as they should? It isn’t time to give up. Instead, it’s time to make sure you have the most important piece in place. If Jesus is not at the center of your life, your life will never feel complete. You can only be complete in Him!
