Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God. — Daniel 3:28

There are moments in life when sometimes you find yourself alone. That was the case several years ago when I sat in my office one day. My wife and I wanted to have children and start our family. But every time she was pregnant, she would lose the baby early on.

The doctors couldn’t explain it, and they couldn’t figure out why it would happen. Sitting in my office on this specific day, I felt utterly alone. But I will never forget what happened as I sat alone talking with God about the situation.

Certainly, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego knew what that felt like as well. They were bound and thrown into a fiery furnace for believing in God. No one was with them, just the three of them together. But we read in the story that the king looked and didn’t see just three in the fire. Instead, he saw four because they were not alone!

The circumstances of life may make us feel alone. But in those moments, God will show up! When God shows up, He doesn’t leave you to walk through the situations alone. Instead, He will walk through the fire with you. He will be by your side the whole way.

Do not think for one second that you are alone in life and the circumstances you face. Stand strong in your faith. Just when you think that you are alone, that’s when God shows up. When He does, He will walk with you and prove once again that He is faithful and true!

Across the world, Christians need the encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide.
