Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength faileth. — Psalm 71:9

Not long ago, I came across some old pictures from when I was a teenager. The pictures were scans of old photos taken before cell phones took over cameras for everyday use. I was amazed at how young I looked in those photos. As I scrolled through each one, I recalled days of my life that had long gone by and were filled with many memories.

As I reflected, I couldn’t help but think of the many stages of my life. Some were while I was in high school and college. Others were when I just started working as a paramedic. As I reflected on those times, I could not help but think about all the challenges and circumstances I had faced.

I was quickly brought back to reality as my son walked into the room I was in. Back in those days, I would have never imagined myself where I am today. Throughout the years of my life, God has been faithful and blessed me in so many ways. And, if we are all honest, we can all probably say that, no matter what our situation may be today.

The psalmist had just looked back over life and realized that the days of old were gone. Yet, he also realized that God had been there with him every step of the way. Through all the good times and bad, God has been faithful and is still faithful today!

No matter where you are in life, you can look back and see how God has worked. In your weakest moments, He gave you the strength to continue. Throughout the years, God has been faithful, and He will not forsake you today. No matter if you are young or old, God will never cast you aside!

Across the world, Christians need the encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians accept Jesus Christ as Savior.
