And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. — Revelation 20:15

While I may not often want to admit it, I don’t always have the best hearing. While sometimes I may be accused of selective hearing, I do know that I don’t hear the best that I can due to several things. So there are times that I hear someone say something but don’t quite understand.

Such an occasion happened not long ago as I was walking around an office. I knew the people around me, so it wouldn’t surprise me for one of them to say my name. As I was talking, I walked by an office, and I thought I heard my name. So I stopped, turned around, and asked, “Did you say my name?”

There are occasions in life when may hear our name called. You may hear it at the doctor’s office, a government building, or in many other places.  Maybe you are like me, and sometimes you struggle to make sure if you truly heard your name called. It’s never fun having to ask them to repeat it.

There’s one place that none of us should doubt if our name will be called. God keeps a record of all those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. For the Christian, we can take comfort in knowing that our name is written in that book! We know our eternal home, and we know what lies ahead. One day we will hear our name called!

But not everyone has that assurance. Do you know if you will hear your name called? What about your friends, family, and loved ones? No one has to go through life without knowing their name is written there. Jesus came for anyone who would accept Him. If we know our name is there, our desire should be that everyone around us come to that same assurance.

Across the world, there are Christians who need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. Another Well Ministries is a non-profit ministry that relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
