The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. — Psalm 14:1

Recently, I was discussing with someone about all the evils happening around us in the world. They were discussing the continued attacks on Israel. They spoke about human trafficking, drug abuse, and just the absolute wickedness of the world. Concerns were shared about their worries over nuclear war and many other things. Soon, the person looked at me and said, “If God is real, how can He let all of these things happen?”

The happenings in our world are certainly sickening. The amount of death, injury, and hurting people can weigh on the hearts of anyone. There are broken homes, hearts, and lives nearly everywhere you turn. But the Bible tells us we should expect the world to worsen. It said that this would happen until the time that Jesus returns.

As I reflected on all the things we discussed, my heart was brought back to this verse in Psalm 14. David pens the words that a fool hath said in his heart there is no God. To David, it was one of the most foolish things to consider that God did not exist. It should be the same for me and you.

From the foundation of the world, there was God. His hand was there in creation, His plan was set out for salvation, and we will all see the final chapter one day! While we can become disheartened by all the evil around us, we should be focused on sharing our light before it is too late for those around us.

Don’t let the evils of this world distract you to the point you doubt the existence of God. In every detail, He is there. Instead, place your attention on being the light. Share the word of God, the love of God, and be a witness for God in everything that you do.

Across the world, there are Christians who need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. Another Well Ministries is a non-profit ministry that relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
