But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. — James 1:6
Our world is filled with uncertainty. New things seem to happen each day, throwing our world and our lives into more chaos. We can look back at the most recent events in the Middle East and see chaos. There has been chaos in Ukraine for quite some time. Chaos can be found in political situations and circumstances all over the world.
The chaos of these big events can affect each of our lives, but we have chaos on a personal level to deal with as well. How many of you have dealt with chaos in your local community affecting your life? Or perhaps you have dealt with chaos in your own home. Maybe a spouse, child, or friend has brought chaos into your life.
Then there is the personal chaos. Many times, it is the chaos of the unknown. It could be a personal health issue. Maybe it’s a job concern or situation. Whatever the cause, you find yourself in the middle of chaos, not knowing what to do.
It is in those moments that we can be thankful for the words of James. He shares how God is able to give us understanding in the moments of life when we need it, but it takes one thing on our part. It takes us asking in faith without wavering. In other words, ask God for confidence in the situation, knowing that God is able to help.
Do you need confidence in the middle of life’s chaos? Are the circumstances of life weighing on you, and you don’t know what to do or how you will make it? We can find confidence in the one in control of life’s situations.
Take your situation or circumstance to God today. Give it to Him and trust Him fully with it. You can find confidence in the chaos of life, but it’s only found in God.
Across the world, there are Christians who need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. Another Well Ministries is a non-profit ministry that relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
