Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. — Psalm 55:22

There are many times that I can remember my son coming to me and asking for help. Sometimes, the help is something simple, like getting the knot out of his shoelaces. Other times, the thing that he needs help with is a little more difficult. There are times that even I have to take a moment and step back to think about how I am going to help him.

There is one thing that is for sure: there’s never a moment that he comes to me for help that I will ignore him. He may have to wait a moment until I finish something I am doing, but I will always do my best to help him or guide him through whatever it is.

He knows that he can rely on me and my wife to help him in his times of need. We’ve been there for him before, helping when he needed it. He trusts that in the moments when he needs us, we are going to be there for him. He has no reason to doubt us.

The same is certainly true for us as Christians. God has never once failed us. He may not always answer like we want or help as quickly as we want, but He has never failed us. He’s always been faithful. But so many times, we go everywhere else for help instead of running to Him!

I love the last part of this verse and the reminder that is given. Never once has God failed us. He has never once allowed us to be without hope, without help, or left us to perish. When we find ourselves in times of trouble, why would we go anywhere else?!

What are you holding on to in life? Do you struggle with temptation? Are you struggling with circumstances and challenges of life? Perhaps you are struggling with sickness or physical health. No matter what life brings your way, run to Him! Take it to God because He has always and will always be faithful. You are never without hope or help in this life!

Across the world, there are Christians who need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. Another Well Ministries is a non-profit ministry that relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
