But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. — 2 Thessalonians 3:3

In life, we often find ourselves in situations where we need someone to help. Many years ago, my wife and I purchased a home that was foreclosed. The home needed a lot of repairs, and there were many of our friends who were quick to come and help us. They helped with flooring, cabinets, painting, and so much more. It was nice to know that we had so many friends we could count on to help us then.

Several years later, we moved away. Those friends who were often quick to come and help us were several hours back away at home. While working around the house, I couldn’t just pick up the phone and call someone to ask for help. I also couldn’t be there to help them when they needed it either.

Life brings about limitations of what someone is able to do for us. Sometimes, those limitations are caused by distance. At other times, it is caused by choice. Perhaps someone chooses not to help us, stand with us, or be there for us when we need them.

Thankfully, God is not that way! In the first few words of this verse, we read, “The Lord is faithful.” He is someone who is always present, can always be confided in, and is always true to His word. Others may have limitations or be unwilling, but God is always there.

When your heart needs someone to rely on, the Lord is faithful. He will never fail you and never forsake you. He never forgets His promises, stays true to His word, and is a friend like no other. We all face circumstances and situations where we need someone. No matter what you are facing, the Lord is faithful!

Across the world, there are Christians who need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. Another Well Ministries is a non-profit ministry that relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
