And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. — 1 Corinthians 6:11

I was talking with someone recently, and we were discussing how much things have changed in our world. There were many things that people used to worry about, work for, and dream about that no one is interested in anymore. The values of our society have changed tremendously.

But more than just the values, even we have changed. I remember, as a teenager, wanting to drive a car that people were envious of. I wanted to dress in style. Even as I started out my career as a paramedic, I always wanted to be one of the people that others looked up to as a good paramedic. I wanted to be considered one of the best.

Now, I am no longer a paramedic. I don’t drive the nicest car on the highway, and I don’t even dress in the latest fashion trends. Those things used to be extremely important to me, but I have changed. If you are honest, you have probably changed too from your teenage years.

For all who have accepted Jesus as Savior, we should be able to look at another change in our lives as well. Perhaps there were some of us who were alcoholics or drug addicts. Perhaps there were those who were idolaters or adulterers. But Jesus made a change in our lives!

We are no longer who we used to be. We have changed! We are justified by the blood of Jesus Christ, set apart with a purpose to serve God in our days here on this earth. A lot of times, we talk about change being for the worse, but this change was definitely for the better.

Across the world, there are Christians who need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. As a non-profit ministry, Another Well Ministries relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
