Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah. — Psalm 62:8

A few days ago, I sat down to watch something on the television and I heard a song playing as part of the show that caught my attention. The song is not a Christian song, but it was extremely popular back in the 90s. In fact, I remember walking around stores and sitting in restaurants and hearing it play when I was much younger. The song is titled, “You are not alone.”

While I don’t know all the details of the song, the words as part of the song said something along the lines of “you are not alone, I am here with you.” The show played only a small portion of the song, but it was enough to hear those words before the music faded.

If we are all honest, there are times in our lives when we have felt like we were alone. Through circumstances and trials, we may have felt defeated, deserted, and left to find the way on our own. But the truth is we are not alone!

All through scripture, we are told time and again that God is with us. We read the words about how God cares, and how He loves us, but yet we still at times feel alone. The reminder here in this verse is so key. We should trust in God at all times because He is our refuge.

We can confidently trust in God at all times. Not because of anything we have done. Not because of anything that we deserve. But because God loves us and is a refuge for us in times of need. While you may feel like you are alone, you are not alone!

Across the world, there are Christians that need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. As a non-profit ministry, Another Well Ministries relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
