Several years ago, I remember a faithful person in our church receiving the news that no one wants to receive. They had gone through some health tests and were awaiting the results. When the results came back, it was not what they wanted to hear.
Multiple spots were found. They had done multiple types of images and were convinced that the spots were spread across their body. Discussions were had about different surgery options, chemotherapy, radiation, and other things. There was just one more type of imaging to do before they started the treatments.
Prayers were requested in earnest that it wouldn’t be as bad as they thought. Christians around the area were praying and churches were praying together. Several weeks later, they did the test. What they found is that the spots weren’t there. They decided to look again, but no spots were found. The doctor said he had not seen something like this. The spots were there, but now they weren’t.
One thing was certain, this person was completely trusting that God could heal them. They were earnest in their prayer and publicly declared that God was able to take care of the spots and take them away. They were serious about their ask of God and what God could do for them.
Are you facing something in your life, big or small, that you need God to intervene? If so, are you praying in full faith that God can handle it? It isn’t just going through the act of praying for God to do something, it’s believing that God not only can, but will! Don’t just say the words, hold them in your heart and believe. God may not answer in the way you want, but He will hear you and give you an answer that is according to His will.
