Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? — Romans 8:35

Not long ago, I remember sitting down to watch television with my son. He was flipping through all the possible options to watch, and he came across a classic animated movie from when I was a kid. It was one of the typical movies where a princess gets herself into a situation, and through that situation, she finds her prince charming.

The movie went along, and you could see affection develop between the characters. It wasn’t the lengthy romance that we expect in our personal relationships. After all, they had to fit the entire romance down into a little over an hour to keep a kid’s attention. But there was a comment that was made along the lines of I will love you forever, and I will never let go.

Those are certainly words we hear thrown around in our day. Day after day, marriages take place across the globe where the promise of til death do us part is made. But many of those marriages never make it to the moment of death. In many instances, the commitment was simply out of convenience and was never truly meant. They allow someone or some thing to get in the way.

But that’s certainly not the case with the love of God toward us. In fact, God loved us so much that Jesus went all the way to the cross to die for us. As the writer says here, is there anything that can separate us from the love of Christ? Absolutely not! Nothing can change the love that God has for you!

It can be easy to be discouraged in this world. You may feel like no one loves you or that no one cares. Maybe you feel like no one could love you for things you have done. But that’s simply not true. God loves you and there is nothing that will change that!

Across the world, there are Christians that need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior.
