For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. — Isaiah 55:9

A few years ago, I started to become very interested in aviation. It was about the time I was traveling extensively for work, and I was on several airplanes each week. I would have loved the opportunity to get my pilot’s license and be able to fly my own plane. But with our adoption approaching, that wasn’t an option.

Since that wasn’t an option, I decided to look into a small drone. It is a lot different than flying an airplane, but it satisfied the urge I had to be in the air. The thing that amazed me most in the air was the perspective. Flying my drone, I was able to get that unique perspective from a few hundred feet above the ground.

Things look much different from the air. The things that seem so tall may not be as big as they seem. But what always amazes me is that from the ground, I may not be able to see what’s on the other side of a building or mountain. From the air, I could.

There are so many times in life we face things that we cannot see what’s on the other side. It could be difficulty and circumstances, sickness, or many other things. Even though we cannot see what’s on the other side, God can! His ways are higher than our ways and give Him a different perspective.

No matter what you may be facing today, trust God. Even though you cannot see the other side, He can. He knows what you are facing, and He knows exactly what you need to get through. We must have faith and trust Him.

Across the world, there are Christians that need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide.
