And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. — 1 John 2:2

Some time ago, I was watching a television show where the characters on the show were choosing sides. They were playing a game and needed to choose who they wanted to be on their team. Some were chosen very quickly, while others were left until much later. It was a joke in the show about being chosen late in the process.

But that’s certainly how life seems at times. There are people who always seem to be in the “in crowd.” They are skilled, talented, and it seems that so many things in life go their way. They seemingly are always chosen first.

If you are like me, that’s not necessarily the case. My life is up and down. There are days that it seems I am on the mountaintop, while I seem to be in the valley at other times. There are many times in life when I find that I have been left out or am not in the group, so to speak. I wasn’t always chosen first. There were times when I was absolutely chosen last.

I’m glad that’s not the case with God! I’m so thankful that when He created the plan for the atonement of sin, it wasn’t dependent on my skills or being chosen to fit into a specific mold or shape. If the forgiveness of my sin was dependent upon me, I would never be forgiven.

Jesus didn’t come to this world to die for just a select group of people. He gave His life so that all could receive forgiveness for their sins. No one was left out, not even you! If you have accepted Jesus as Savior, that’s worth praising Him today! If you haven’t, you can learn more about accepting Him today!

Across the world, there are Christians that need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. As a non-profit ministry, Another Well Ministries relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
