There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. — Galatians 3:28

Not so long ago, my family and I were in a place where we had never been. We thought the place sounded interesting from the description. Once we arrived at this location, we quickly saw a lot of things that we did not expect. It was very clear that this was not a place where we belonged.

There were a lot of people there that were enjoying the location. They were having a good time with all the things that this place had to offer. Rather than enjoying our experience, we were rather miserable. We quickly left and went home. It was clear that there was a specific type of person that this location catered to and we were not it!

There are a lot of places like that in our world that cater to a specific type of person. It doesn’t mean that others will not enjoy that place, but there’s a specific type of person that they are looking for. It creates a situation where people feel like they are not good enough or don’t fit in.

Aren’t you glad that not all places and situations are like this? Paul gives some great clarification here in Galatians. He said that it does not matter who you are, we all come to salvation through Jesus Christ. Jews, Gentiles, males, and females, no matter who you are, the only way is through Jesus!

Salvation is not about a specific type of person. Salvation caters specifically to sinners, of which we all are! We could never be good enough or special enough, we simply have to be forgiven. Today, be thankful that you don’t have to worry about fitting in for salvation. You only have to worry about being forgiven!
