Be still, and know that I am God – Psalm 46:10
It’s easy to lose sight of things with all that is going on in the world around us. It seems that socially, we are as divided as ever. We hear of tragic news abroad in Afghanistan, where many are dealing with humanitarian issues. Our world is still dealing with sickness from the COVID-19 pandemic. If that were all, it would be enough.
But then we all struggle with things going on around us every day. We run to practice with the kids, rush to find food, have to hurry to the store, and so much more. Our lives anymore seem like a whirlwind.
But Psalm 46 reminds us that in the middle of all that is going on around us, we must take a few moments and be still. While it may be challenging in our lives, we should take time each day to be still. Through scripture reading, through prayer, through ministry, all are opportunities to be still and see God in a greater way.
