For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. — 1 John 5:4
So many things in life attempt to place pressure or challenges on our lives. Our jobs can often be challenges and distractions in our lives. Family challenges and difficulties can place pressures on life as well. That overlooks some other challenges that may present like finances.
Perhaps the biggest challenge of all is the relationships that we have with others. People can say some of the most harsh things and perform some of the vilest actions. All of these can leave you feeling helpless and hopeless.
But the Child of God should never feel helpless and hopeless. We have one who lives within us that has overcome all the world can bring on us. Not only has He overcome, He lives within us and helps us overcome.
As this verse shares, our victory is not found in ourselves. It is found in the one who has overcome. It is found in God who loves us, has redeemed us, and never leaves us nor forsakes us. Our victory is through faith in Him.
Maybe you feel as though you do not have any hope. Perhaps you feel that you will crumble under the weight of the pressures of this world. Remember God and the faith you have in Him. He has already overcome the world and can bring victory to you!
