El SE\u00d1OR est\u00e1<\/em> cerca de todos los que le invocan, de todos los que le invocan en verdad. \u2014 Salmo 145:18<\/p>\n

Mientras camin\u00e1bamos entre la multitud, recuerdo lo inc\u00f3modo que se puso mi hijo. La Navidad estaba a la vuelta de la esquina, \u00a1y hab\u00eda gente por todas partes! No pas\u00f3 mucho tiempo antes de que sintiera su mano buscar la m\u00eda y aferrarse con fuerza. Mientras avanz\u00e1bamos, se peg\u00f3 a m\u00ed y empez\u00f3 a hablarme de c\u00f3mo se sent\u00eda en ese momento.<\/p>\n

No esper\u00f3 a que la multitud desapareciera. No intent\u00f3 ordenar primero sus sentimientos ni encontrar las palabras adecuadas. Simplemente busc\u00f3 mi mano y habl\u00f3 con honestidad. Su cercan\u00eda era su consuelo, y su sinceridad bastaba.<\/p>\n

Esta es la imagen que la Escritura nos da de la oraci\u00f3n. El Se\u00f1or est\u00e1 cerca. No distante. No distra\u00eddo. No reservado para temporadas m\u00e1s tranquilas. \u00c9l se acerca a quienes le invocan en verdad. La Oraci\u00f3n no es una actuaci\u00f3n. Es una relaci\u00f3n. Es el acto de acercarse y hablar con honestidad en medio de lo que se siente abrumador.<\/p>\n

Con tanta frecuencia, pensamos que la oraci\u00f3n requiere silencio, claridad o confianza. Pero Dios nos sale al encuentro en momentos abarrotados, cuando el coraz\u00f3n est\u00e1 ansioso, cuando los pensamientos est\u00e1n dispersos, cuando las palabras son imperfectas. Como un ni\u00f1o que busca la mano de su padre, la oraci\u00f3n se convierte en nuestra manera de permanecer cerca.<\/p>\n

Invocar al Se\u00f1or \u201cen verdad\u201d significa que acudimos tal como somos. Sin ocultar la incomodidad. Sin fingir fortaleza. Sin esperar a que todo parezca manejable. Decimos lo que es real, confiando en que Dios ya est\u00e1 cerca.<\/p>\n

Hoy, la oraci\u00f3n puede ser tan sencilla como buscar la presencia de Dios y decirle c\u00f3mo se siente usted. \u00c9l est\u00e1 cerca, y esa cercan\u00eda es su paz. \u00bfD\u00f3nde se siente usted abrumado o inquieto ahora mismo? \u00bfC\u00f3mo podr\u00eda la oraci\u00f3n convertirse en un acto de acercarse, en lugar de encontrar las palabras adecuadas?<\/p>\n
