Not long ago, my son was asking me to go ride his bike. He hasn’t been riding for long, so any chance he gets to ride, he is excited. I want to take him out to ride as much as possible, but it’s not always so easy.
The heat in Florida can be extreme at times. While my health loves to be in the warmer climate, my body doesn’t do well with it. Thankfully, we get a break from that heat and we are able to venture out to enjoy a nice ride on the bike.
As we were out and he was riding, I was beside him and I heard him say, “It is a beautiful day.” He had missed riding for several days, but loved that he was getting to ride on this occasion. I could not help but think of this verse as I reflected on his statement.
Many times we often just look at the bad that is happening in life. We consider all the storms, the chaos, and the situations that we endure. Yet, we often overlook that even the bad days are a blessing. Even if it is in the storm and trials of life.
Don’t let the bad days cause you to forget that every day is a blessing. A bad day with God is better than anything the devil has to offer on his best day!
