Recently, I was speaking with some friends about current events. They were talking about the war in Ukraine. Another mentioned the fighting that is going on involving Israel. As we spoke, someone made the statement that they were concerned about the wars that were taking place and what it means for the future of our nation. They said they felt our nation was in danger.
In another conversation, I recall someone else sharing their concern about the trials and circumstances of life. They shared how their life was filled with burdens that were more than they could bear. They shared the struggles and pain that they were going through. They shared that they were concerned that they could not continue on for much longer.
Yesterday, we looked at the first part of this verse and how we were not created for fear, but for faith. In that faith, our lives were designed for a life of power. Not power as in powerful or ruling. Power as in able to overcome the things that we face because of God.
Life is filled with danger, challenges, trials, and circumstances. Many of these are out of our control. Yet, we often worry about these things and they can disrupt our lives. It causes us to live a life of defeat, when we were designed to live a life of power!
With God, you have the power to overcome the dangers and trials of this life. Not one thing in your life has caught God by surprise. He knows what you are facing and with Him, you have the ability to overcome. But you can’t do it in yourself. It comes through faith and trust in Him!
