But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. — 1 Peter 1:25

On Sunday, I watched the video of the SpaceX Starship launch from Texas. It has been described as the most powerful rocket to ever exist, and the ability to make it reusable has been the topic of many online articles. Many are fascinated at how SpaceX has taken space exploration and tourism to a new level with its technology.

That was followed by another video that I was sent where Tesla had created driverless taxis that could be used in cities around the world. Another video showed a robot that was created which could do household tasks for its owner. I recall reading one article where the writer spoke about technological advances. He said this was proof that anything could be made better with technology.

It is true that there are many things that have changed just in my time here on this earth. As much as we want to talk about improvement and making things better, there’s one thing that simply cannot be made better. It was perfect the first time and will be forever.

Peter writes that the word of God endures forever. The same word that has endured for generation after generation. It is relevant to any circumstance or situation. No matter what you face, its pages are filled with strength, help, and hope to get you through.

So, while the world may race to make things better, God’s word is perfect and will endure forever. While technology may change and make access to God’s word easier, it can never improve on the content. It was inspired by God and has been influential in lives down through the years. Today, thank God for His word and that it endures forever!
