Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. — Psalm 60:11

Recently, I was trying to do some work around the house. I had a problem as I started making one of the changes that I wanted to make. While I had done this type of work before, I simply could not figure it out this time. Nothing seemed to make sense! All the pieces were there, but I couldn’t get it to work this time.

I began to think about how I could accomplish my goal. There was no way that I could do this alone. While I may have the basic knowledge, I needed to get an idea of what was wrong from someone else. Someone with more experience and more expertise. Fortunately, I knew just the person to call.

Once the phone was answered, I began describing the problem to my friend. Within just a few minutes, he knew exactly what I was doing and what I was working with. He described the problem to me in detail, and gave me multiple ways to fix it. Soon, I was back to work on the project, having solved the issue.

There are many times in life when we may not know what to do. There are times we are faced with perplexing circumstances and challenging situations to navigate. While we may not always have the answers to the things that we face, we all have a source for help. We all know the right person to call on!

What has you perplexed today? Are you frustrated, challenged, disappointed, or perhaps even depressed. Don’t let the circumstance get the best of you. Call on God. Let Him help you in the middle of your circumstance. Rather than suffering and trying to make it alone, call on Him. He is the right person to call on!
