The rich and poor meet together: the LORD is the maker of them all. Proverbs 22:2

We have so many things that divide us in society today. We all know how polarizing politics can be. Share your opinion with someone who disagrees, even if you are close to the same viewpoints, and you may find yourself subject to immediate ridicule. But one that seemed to gain popularity in recent years was a division between those who may be considered rich and those who are not.

My family and I are far from what I would consider rich in this world. I don’t have thousands or millions in the bank as some others may. But God has blessed our family where all of our needs are met. But if we are not careful, this division will find its way into our own personal thoughts and even into our Christian relationships.

God has entrusted each of us differently. There are Christians whom this world may consider rich, just as there are those who this world may consider poor. But the Bible is clear time and again, in God’s eyes there is no difference. God has created us all and we are all responsible to God for what He has trusted us with.

In fact, Jesus taught in Luke 12:48 that to whom much is given, much is required. For those who God has blessed with riches in this world, they have a great responsibility to use those riches for God. But the truth is, we are all responsible for what God has given us.

So it doesn’t matter if you are the richest Christian that you know or the poorest. God has trusted each of us to take what He has blessed us with and use it for Him. In God’s eyes, there is no difference in the social classes. He is looking for those who are faithful with what they have been given.

Across the world, there are Christians that need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. As a non-profit ministry, Another Well Ministries relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
