The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. — Proverbs 29:25

Public speaking is something that I have become accustomed to throughout my life. When I was younger, I felt like it was easier since I knew most of the people I stood in front of. They were perhaps people I went to church with or even classmates. As my career progressed, I started having to speak in front of people that I didn’t know. That changed the situation for me.

I was often fearful, not knowing what to expect. I would often find myself wanting to follow others. For example, I wanted to see someone else give their presentation first. It allowed me the opportunity to read the audience and understand what was happening. It didn’t change the situation, though. I still had to get up in front of the people and speak.

Now, I am much further along in life and I speak in front of people quite often. There are many times I speak in front of large groups of people, people that I may not know and may never see again. But my perspective is much different. Every time I have had to stand to speak, God has been there and helped me through.

There are many things in life that can cause us to fear. Time wouldn’t permit me to name all of the potential things to fear in life. Maybe it’s something as simple as public speaking, sickness, heartache, loneliness, death, and the list goes on. No matter what the situation is, each and every time you face something, God is there with you.

Christians can approach the fears of life in confidence. Not because we always have the answer or solution, but because our trust is in God! Through every situation, He has been faithful. Perhaps you have not been in this situation before, but that doesn’t change the faithfulness of God. He will be there and go with you all the way.

Across the world, there are Christians that need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. As a non-profit ministry, Another Well Ministries relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
