Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. — Psalm 145:2

A few years ago, I had something on my list of things to do. I had promised someone that I would follow up on something for them. They needed an answer, and I was the one to get that answer for them. But it seemed that every day I had something else that became a priority. I could set out with the best of intentions, but I never completed the task.

After a few days, the person called me to ask about it. They shared how important it was and how I was the only one who could take care of it for them. It was an excellent reminder, and I again set out to get the answer for them. But again, other things seemingly became a priority.

Then, the person asked me a difficult question. They said, “am I not important to you?” That was certainly not the case at all. They were very important, and I knew that I was the one who was responsible for doing this for them. But because of all the distractions in life, I let them down.

It can become easy to let things distract us from doing the things we know we should do, even when it comes to our relationship with God. We know that we should read our Bibles, pray, and praise God. But so many times, we let things distract us.

Today, take a moment to put aside anything else and put the priority on God! Start a new habit of praising God daily. When the world tries to get in the way, don’t let it. The most important thing in life is our relationship with God. Take a few minutes and praise God. Tell Him how precious He is to you and how thankful you are for all His many blessings.

Across the world, there are Christians that need encouragement and strength that only God’s word can provide. We are focused on helping Christians find encouragement, develop stronger relationships with God, and help non-Christians come to accept Jesus Christ as Savior. As a non-profit ministry, Another Well Ministries relies on donations to continue our work. You can find out more about us and ways to support us here.
