God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. — 1 Corinthians 1:9

In life, we are often told things that we understand or expect to be true. It was not so long ago that I had such an example. Someone told me something and they said that it would absolutely happen. Yet, when the time came, they went back on their words. They were not able to do what they had claimed to be able to do.

It can be disappointing and frustrating when this happens. It regularly happens, however. There are times that we are promised things in life that never come to pass. Maybe it was a promotion at a job. Perhaps it was a special experience or circumstance. Maybe you have even been told by the doctor that things will be ok, but then things weren’t.

We will have these experiences in life, but thankfully that is not the complete story! We have a God that is faithful in everything. As Paul writes in Corinthians, God is faithful. He will not make a promise and fail to perform! He will not say that something is going to happen and let you down.

We can see the evidence of this all throughout scripture and history. Time and again, God has been faithful. Through the difficulties, through the challenges, and through the hard circumstances of life, God has been faithful! He has never once made a promise that He cannot keep. He is faithful like no other!

When you go through these types of situations, it may be disappointing and frustrating. But don’t let those things get you down. Remember that you have a faithful God. One that cares and loves you like no one else. Best of all, there is coming a day when we no longer have to worry about the things of this world and will be in His presence for eternity!
