Grief is an emotion that we all must deal with in life. Fortunately, we have a God who is an expert in helping us through the times of grief in our life.
Our prayer is that the verses below will help you as you go through grief. We encourage you to pray to God for help and strength in your time of struggle.
Psalm 9:9 – The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
John 16:22 – And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
1 Peter 5:7 – Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Psalm 18:2 – The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
Revelation 21:4 – And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Psalm 34:18 – The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
Romans 8:18 – For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
John 14:1 – Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Matthew 11:28 – Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Deuteronomy 31:8 – And the LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.
Psalm 147:3 – He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
Matthew 5:3 – Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Psalm 73:26 – My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
Ecclesiastes 1:18 – For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.
Isaiah 53:4-5 – Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
