And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. — Matthew 28:5

It was not so long ago that my wife and I were at a store and we went in different directions. I remember once I finished what I was doing at the store, I started to look for her. I feel like I looked all around that store multiple times before I found her.

Some other times I have been looking for someone and there was a different circumstance. It was a situation where I was looking, but someone was there to point me in the right direction. They told me which aisle, which building, or the exact place I would find what I was looking for.

I think about that when I read through these verses in Matthew. These ladies came to the tomb looking for Jesus, but they could not find Him. Thankfully, someone was there to point them in the right direction. They were able to tell them what happened, where He was, and what they needed to do.

People all across our world are looking for something. They are looking for happiness in the pleasures of the world. They are looking for satisfaction in money and things. They are looking for anything they can find to put in the place of accepting Jesus as their Savior.

Rather than leaving them to wander aimlessly through life without direction, what are we doing to point them in the right direction? Rather than seeking happiness in money, drugs, fame, or other things, they can find anything and everything they are looking for in Jesus.

Perhaps we should ask those around us who they are looking for. It may give us the opportunity to share Jesus with them and help them find that He alone can satisfy.
